Raising a Dispute as a Landlord

How landlords can file a dispute against a tenant.

When can a landlord raise a dispute?

Landlords can raise disputes against active tenants for issues such as:

  • Non-payment or repeated late payment of rent
  • Property damage caused by the tenant
  • Violations of lease terms (unauthorized pets, subletting, etc.)

How to raise a dispute

Go to Leases → Active, click on the relevant lease, and select Raise Dispute. Select the appropriate category and provide a detailed description.

Evidence

Attach evidence URLs (photos of damage, screenshots of communications, maintenance records). Strong evidence leads to faster resolution.

The review process

The dispute follows the standard 5 business day SLA. Both the landlord and tenant will have the opportunity to provide their side. Our team will issue a resolution decision.

Resolution

Possible outcomes: Landlord favour, Tenant favour, Mutual resolution, or Inconclusive. Both parties are notified by email when a decision is reached.
