How to Apply for a Property

Finding a property

Browse available properties on the Rentakoto listings page. Use filters for location, price, bedrooms, and amenities. You can also use the AI search bar to describe what you're looking for in plain language.

Submitting your application

When you find a property you like, click Apply. You will be asked to:

1. Confirm your desired move-in date and lease duration
2. Write a short message to the landlord (optional but recommended)
3. Upload any required documents (proof of income, ID, etc.)

What happens next

The landlord will review your application. You can track the status in My Leases → In Progress. Status options are:

• **Pending** — waiting for landlord review
• **Approved** — landlord has accepted; you will receive a contract to sign
• **Rejected** — landlord has declined; you will see the reason if provided

Applications expire after a set period if the landlord does not respond. You will receive an email notification before expiry.
